King Ice Reviews: Is King Ice Legit? An Honest Look (2026)
Is King Ice legit? Yes. King Ice is a real Los Angeles jewelry brand that has sold hip-hop and streetwear pieces since 2005, with a solid gold line and collabs with names like Death Row Records and SEGA. But most of its iced chains are 14k gold-plated brass set with cubic zirconia, and its Trustpilot page had no reviews at all in the 3 months to October 31, 2026.
We sell iced chains too, so read this with that in mind. Every King Ice fact below comes from King Ice's own product pages, FAQ, refund and shipping policies, or its Trustpilot profile, all read on October 31, 2026. Where King Ice beats us, we say so.
Key takeaways
- King Ice is a real, long-running business. Its About page says it was founded in Los Angeles in 2005, and its Trustpilot listing gives an address in Covina, California.
- Most King Ice chains are plated, not solid. Its 5mm tennis chain lists "Material: brass" with 14k gold plating and CZ stones, for $115 at 20 inches. It also sells a solid 14k gold line from $2,300.
- Recent independent reviews are missing: 0 Trustpilot reviews in the last 3 months, and Trustpilot shows just 2 in the last 12 months.
- King Ice's lifetime warranty covers manufacturer's defects but not tarnishing or normal wear, and missing stones are covered for one year.
- King Ice wins on price and designs. We cost more, but use D color VVS1 moissanite, cover tarnish and lost stones for life, and deliver in-stock US orders in 1 to 2 business days.
Is King Ice legit?
Yes. King Ice isn't a pop-up store. Its About page says the brand was "Founded in Los Angeles, California in 2005" and has spent two decades on hip-hop and streetwear jewelry: pendants, chains, bracelets, watches, grillz and pins. The site banner reads "Designed in Los Angeles," and King Ice's Trustpilot listing gives a business address at 1175 E Garvey St, Covina, California, with a phone line and a help email.
It also has a long list of licensed collabs. The About page names Snoop Dogg, Notorious B.I.G., Death Row Records, Odd Future, Wu-Tang, 2Pac and Run DMC, plus partners such as Warner Bros., SEGA, Epic Games and Xbox. The shop has Sonic the Hedgehog, Barbie, Halo and Yu-Gi-Oh! collections.
King Ice's FAQ adds a simple authenticity check: genuine King Ice pieces carry a King Ice stamp or a Lion Tag.
What recent King Ice reviews say
We don't quote all-time scores, because they mix in years-old orders. We compare Trustpilot reviews from the last 3 months, using Trustpilot's own "Last 3 months" filter with all languages. That's the closest thing to what ordering from each brand is like today.
| Trustpilot, last 3 months (to October 31, 2026) | King Ice | Adamans |
|---|---|---|
| Reviews | 0 | 250 |
| Average rating | No recent reviews | 4.5 |
| 5-star share | - | 80% (199 reviews) |
| 1-star share | - | 8% (20 reviews) |
So there's no recent Trustpilot data on King Ice at all. As of October 31, 2026, Trustpilot's own notes on the profile say King Ice has "2 reviews in the last 12 months," "No recent history of asking for reviews" and "Hasn't replied to negative reviews." The most recent of those, from July 1, 2026, says a chain tarnished after about a month.
That doesn't make King Ice a bad company. Per Trustpilot, King Ice hasn't asked customers for Trustpilot reviews recently. It runs its own review widget instead: its site footer shows 16,398 verified reviews, and its 5mm tennis chain page showed 4.81 out of 5 from 163 reviews as of October 31, 2026. Those are collected by King Ice on its own site, so weigh them that way. You can check both brands yourself on King Ice's Trustpilot page and ours, or read how ours break down in our own reviews write-up.
Is King Ice real gold?
Some of it. King Ice's FAQ says it "offers both solid gold and gold plated jewelry," and the product page tells you which is which. Look at the Material line in the details section:
- Gold plated (most of the range). The 5mm Tennis Chain lists "Plating: 14K Gold" and "Material: brass." The 10mm Iced Miami Cuban Link Chain is the same: 14k gold plating over brass. "14K Gold" in a King Ice variant name is the plating color, not the metal.
- Sterling silver (a few pieces). The 5mm tennis chain has a sterling silver option at $240 for 20 inches (sold out when we checked), and King Ice's moissanite stud earrings are .925 sterling silver.
- Solid gold. King Ice has a Solid Gold collection. Its Solid Gold 3mm Miami Cuban Link Chain is 14k solid gold, priced from $2,300 to $4,100 depending on length. Custom solid gold needs a $3,000 non-refundable deposit and takes at least 4 weeks.
So if you're asking "is King Ice jewelry real," the honest answer is: it's brass with a gold plating, unless the page says solid gold. Plating wears over time, and King Ice's own care notes say to take pieces off before showering, washing your hands, sleeping or working out. Our guide on how to tell if a chain is real gold shows how to check stamps, weight and magnets yourself.
Does King Ice use real diamonds?
Not on its iced chains. The 3mm and 5mm tennis chain descriptions say the stones are CZ (cubic zirconia), and the 10mm Iced Cuban lists its 816 stones as "VVS diamond simulate." A diamond simulant looks like diamond but isn't one. CZ won't pass a standard diamond tester. When we searched King Ice's site for "moissanite," the only moissanite pieces that came up were stud earrings.
That's normal at this price. A real diamond tennis chain costs thousands. If you want something between CZ and diamond, that's what moissanite is for. Our moissanite vs cubic zirconia guide explains the difference in hardness, sparkle and how each wears.
King Ice vs Adamans: tennis chain prices side by side
These are list prices on each brand's own site at 20 inches, as of October 31, 2026. Sale prices and codes change, so we've left them out.
| Chain (20") | Price | Material, as listed | Stones |
|---|---|---|---|
| King Ice 3mm Tennis Chain | $90 | Gold plated | CZ |
| King Ice 5mm Tennis Chain | $115 | 14k gold plating over brass | CZ |
| King Ice 5mm Tennis Chain, sterling silver option | $240 | Sterling silver | Not stated on the page |
| King Ice 10mm Iced Miami Cuban | $140 | 14k gold plating over brass | "VVS diamond simulate" |
| Adamans 4.5mm Tennis Chain, CZ line | $104.99 | 18K plated, PVD vacuum plated | Diamond simulants (CZ) |
| Adamans 3mm Moissanite Tennis Chain | $368.99 | 18K white gold plating with PVD reinforcement | D color VVS1 moissanite, GRA report |
| Adamans 5mm Moissanite Tennis Chain | $454.99 | 18K white gold plating with PVD reinforcement | D color VVS1 moissanite, GRA report |
| Adamans 10mm Moissanite Clustered Tennis Chain | $779.99 | 18K white gold plating with PVD reinforcement | D color VVS1 moissanite, GRA report |
King Ice is cheaper, full stop. Its plated CZ tennis chains cost about a quarter of our moissanite ones. Like for like, its 5mm CZ tennis chain ($115) and our 4.5mm CZ tennis chain ($104.99) sit at almost the same price.
The gap is the stone. Our moissanite chains use D color VVS1 moissanite, come with a GRA report and pass a standard diamond tester. CZ is softer and won't pass. If you want a fun, cheap piece or a licensed design, King Ice makes sense. If you want a chain built to be worn every day for years, moissanite is the upgrade. Moissanite isn't diamond, and we don't pretend it is.
King Ice return policy: the fine print
King Ice's refund policy page says exchanges and refunds are accepted within 30 days of purchase, or 7 days for solid gold chains. Pieces must be unworn, in sellable condition and in their original packaging. The rest of the fine print, from King Ice's own pages on October 31, 2026:
- Solid gold pendants, grillz, earrings, mystery boxes and sale items are final sale.
- If you don't add package protection at checkout, lost, stolen or damaged packages can't be replaced or refunded.
- Custom solid gold pieces can't be returned, and the $3,000 deposit isn't refundable.
One thing to check before you order: King Ice's FAQ gives different terms. It says to return items "within 14 days of your original purchase date for a refund or 30 days for an exchange," and that "A 15% restocking fee is charged on all refunds." Ask King Ice which rule applies to your order and get it in writing.
Where we're stricter: our moissanite pieces are final sale, so check your size with our guides first. Silver & 18k Vermeil and CZ line pieces can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund (15% restocking fee) or within 90 days for an exchange or store credit with no fee. On a plated King Ice chain, you can return things we wouldn't take back.
King Ice warranty vs our lifetime warranty
King Ice's banner says "Lifetime Warranty on all Jewelry." The refund policy explains what that means: it covers manufacturer's defects only, and "does not cover accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or tarnishing." Missing stones are covered for one year after purchase. Watches get a one-year warranty. Pieces labeled tarnish-resistant get a one-time replacement if they tarnish with proper care.
Every Adamans piece comes with a lifetime warranty card. Under our policy, we repair or replace your piece for manufacturing defects, breakage during normal wear, fading, discoloration or tarnishing of the finish, and loose or lost stones. It doesn't cover loss, theft, deliberate damage, repairs by someone else, or damage from chemicals like chlorine and bleach.
That's the biggest practical difference. On an iced chain, the finish and the stones are the parts that wear. King Ice's warranty doesn't cover tarnishing and covers missing stones for one year. Ours covers both for life.
How long does King Ice take to ship?
King Ice's FAQ says "Almost all orders ship within 24 hours." Its shipping policy is a bit more careful: most orders ship within 1 business day, but allow up to 5 business days for processing, plus 7 more business days for solid gold. Once shipped, US delivery takes:
- Standard: 4 to 8 business days
- USPS Priority Mail: 3 to 5 business days
- UPS Next Day Air: listed as 2 business days
Rates are calculated at checkout. International Standard takes 4 to 8 weeks, and King Ice doesn't ship to Brazil, Indonesia, Morocco or parts of Africa.
Our in-stock US orders ship from our US warehouse and arrive in 1 to 2 business days. Orders placed before 2pm ET on a business day ship the same day, with free tracked delivery over $100.
Who should buy from King Ice, and who should buy from us
Buy from King Ice if you want a cheap, fun statement piece, a licensed collab like Sonic or Death Row, or a solid gold chain from a brand with a long history. The 30-day exchange window on most plated pieces is generous. Read the Material line, buy package protection, and expect the plating to need care.
Buy from us if you want a tennis chain to wear every day: D color VVS1 moissanite with a GRA report, a chain that passes a standard diamond tester, a lifetime warranty that covers tarnish and lost stones, and 1 to 2 day US delivery. Know that our moissanite is final sale and costs more than CZ.
