HelloIce reviews are mostly positive, and HelloIce is a legit company. In the 3 months to October 12, 2026 it collected about 1,210 Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.7 stars, and the main complaint is slow shipping, not fake orders. What you actually get depends on which HelloIce line you buy: most of the catalog is cubic zirconia on brass or stainless steel with gold plating, and a smaller line is moissanite set in S925 silver.

Is HelloIce legit?

Yes. A legit store is one that ships what it sells, answers when something goes wrong, and has a long public record. HelloIce has all three:

• History. Its About page says HelloIce was founded in 2017 in Miami. Its FAQ gives its main office as Los Angeles, California.
• Volume. About 1,210 Trustpilot reviews in the last 3 months, roughly 13 a day. You don't get that many reviews without shipping a lot of orders.
• Support on the record. Trustpilot shows the profile has been claimed since August 2020 and that HelloIce replies to 100% of negative reviews, usually within 24 hours.

So "is HelloIce a scam?" has a clear answer: no. The better question is whether what you're buying is what you think it is. That's where most unhappy buyers in this category get caught out, at HelloIce and everywhere else.

What HelloIce reviews actually say

All-time scores mix in orders from years ago, before either brand's current products, shipping and policies. Reviews from the last 3 months represent the up-to-date experience of ordering from each brand today, so that's what we compare here. We used Trustpilot's own "Last 3 months" filter (about 90 days) on October 12, 2026, counting reviews in every language, so you can check the numbers yourself.

Trustpilot also shows that HelloIce replies to 100% of negative reviews, typically within 24 hours.

The good reviews talk about how the pieces look for the price, the deals, and an easy checkout. The bad ones are mostly about waiting: orders sitting in "processing", tracking that doesn't update, and slow replies from support. In one public reply HelloIce put the delays down to peak-season order volume.

This is the part most HelloIce reviews skip, and it decides how a piece looks after six months. HelloIce lists these materials on its own pages:

None of this is hidden. It's in HelloIce's specs and on its About page. But the main product photos look the same whether the stones are CZ or moissanite, and that's how people end up surprised when a cheap chain fails a tester. How long does HelloIce take to ship?

This is the question behind most negative HelloIce reviews, and HelloIce's own pages give slightly different answers:

• Processing: 3 to 7 business days for standard orders and 7 to 12 days for custom products (shipping page). The FAQ says popular styles may ship within 24 hours.
• Standard shipping: 7 to 12 business days via YunExpress, $7.99 (shipping page). The FAQ and product pages say 7 to 10 business days, free.
• DHL: 3 to 5 business days, $15, free over $160 (FAQ).

Add processing to transit and a standard order can take two to four weeks. That's fine if you plan ahead. It's a problem if you need it for a birthday on Saturday.

For us: in-stock pieces ship the same day from our US warehouse if you order before 2pm ET on a business day, and most US orders arrive in 1 to 2 business days. US shipping is free over $100. Pieces that aren't in stock in the US ship from our UK warehouse and take 5 to 10 business days, with duties paid by us.

HelloIce returns and warranty

Returns

HelloIce's return policy page gives 30 days, for unused items with no scratches or signs of wear. You have to contact HelloIce first and get the return authorized. You pay return shipping, original shipping isn't refunded, and refunds go back to your card within 7 working days of the return arriving. Engraved, custom and final-sale items can't be returned. Broken or wrong items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery for a replacement. One FAQ answer mentions a 45-day policy, so confirm which applies to your order.

Our policy is stricter on moissanite, and you should know that before comparing. On in-stock CZ, silver and vermeil pieces you get 14 days for a refund (with a 15% restocking fee) or 90 days for an exchange or store credit with no fee. Moissanite pieces are final sale, as are custom pieces. So if you want the option to send back a moissanite chain, HelloIce's policy is more generous. That's a point to them.

Warranty

Here HelloIce is hard to pin down. On October 12, 2026 its About page said "Lifetime Warranty", its FAQ described a one-year warranty, and its return policy page listed no warranty terms at all. None of them said what's covered. If the warranty matters to you, ask support to confirm it in writing before you order.

Ours is written down in our refund policy. Every piece comes with a lifetime warranty card. We repair or replace the piece for manufacturing defects, breakage during normal wear, fading or tarnishing, and loose or lost stones. It doesn't cover loss, theft, chemical damage from chlorine or bleach, or work done on the piece by someone else.

How to check any iced-out chain yourself

Whether you buy from HelloIce, from us or from anyone else, these five checks take ten minutes and tell you most of what reviews can't:

1. Read the stone line in the specs, not the title photo. "CZ", "cubic zirconia" or "simulant" means it won't test as diamond. "Moissanite" plus a color and clarity grade means it should.
2. Read the base metal. Brass, alloy and stainless steel are fine for the price, but they aren't silver. Look for "925" or "S925" in the specs and a stamp near the clasp.
3. Test it. A standard handheld diamond tester reads moissanite as diamond. Our diamond tester guide explains why, and why CZ fails.
4. Check the report. A grading report should name the lab and carry a number you can look up on that lab's site.
5. Get the policy in writing. Screenshot the warranty and return terms on the day you order. Both HelloIce and we change our sites over time.

So, should you buy from HelloIce?

If you want a cheap CZ piece in a style nobody else makes, and you can wait a few weeks, HelloIce is a reasonable choice with a strong review record. If you're buying moissanite and want the chance to return it, HelloIce's 30-day policy is the safer bet.

Yes. HelloIce is a real company that has sold hip-hop jewelry since 2017, by its own account, and its Trustpilot reviews from the last 3 months average 4.7 stars across about 1,210 reviews (as of October 12, 2026). Most complaints are about shipping delays, not fake orders.

Is HelloIce jewelry real moissanite?
Some of it. HelloIce sells a separate S925 silver moissanite line, but most of its catalog uses cubic zirconia on brass or 316L stainless steel with 18K gold plating. Check the stone and metal lines in the product specs before you buy.

How long does HelloIce take to ship?

Does HelloIce jewelry pass a diamond tester?
Only the moissanite pieces. HelloIce says its moissanite can pass diamond testers. Its cubic zirconia pieces will not, and no CZ jewelry from any brand will.

Does HelloIce jewelry tarnish?
HelloIce's FAQ says the plating won't fade if you look after the piece, and it advises against wearing jewelry to bathe, swim or play sports. Once plating wears through, the base metal underneath shows, which is why the base metal matters.
